IOSD: International Organization for Sustainable Development - Euclid University Consortium

Accreditation has become an important issue for foreign students and for national students considering international graduate and post-graduate studies.

Obviously, UNDT is a national public university, which means that its degrees are valid and indeed normative within the country.

UNDT's degrees are also fully valid and internationally recognized overseas by means of a number of formal and informal mechanisms.

First of all, the fact that UNDT is a governmental public universities, accredited and supervised by a national ministry of education is considered sufficient by most other institutions. This approach is, for instance, that of the United States of America.

The second mechanism is recognition by, registration with, or membership in institutional organizations such the UNESCO's IAU (International Association of Universities), AAU (African Association of Universities) or AUF (Association Universitaire de la Francophonie).

The third mechanism is accreditation or recognition by regional inter-governmental bodies such a CAMES.

UNDT as an institution and its degrees are recognized and accredited at all three levels. UNDT holds full UNESCO/IAU membership, indicating formal international recognition that it is:

  • dedicated to the study of several branches of knowledge;
  • grants at least a three-year, first cycle or undergraduate degree;
  • has graduated at least five cohorts;
  • is at the level of higher education, as shown by the quality of their instruction and the preparatory training demanded of their students, as well as by the active participation of their staff in scientific or scholarly research and by the equipment placed at their disposal;
  • be recognized by a national competent body or its equivalent;
  • have undergone, at the national or regional level, a process of quality assurance or accreditation, or, if such a process does not exist, be a member of a national or regional association of universities.

In summary, UNDT graduates can be fully assured that their credentials will be accepted, recognized and respected internationally.
