EUCLID extension acquires intergovernmental status

Euclid University Extension, the joint international extension unit created in 2006 in partnership with the University of Bangui and IOSD was constituted as an intergovernmental by the participating governments between March and July 2008. The new internet site for EUCLID is www.euclid.int and the Euclid University Extension (or Consortium) remains in operation.

University of N'Djamena to create cooperative degree in Sustainable Development

The university has announced the creation of specialized graduate program in Sustainable Development to be developed and administrated cooperatively with the International Organization for Sustainable Development.

The program will focus on specific African issues and counter desertification solutions.

La 28è session des Comités consultatifs interafricains (CCI) du CAMES (Concours africain et malgache pour l'enseignement supérieur) s'est tenue du 13 au 20 juillet derniers à Bangui, en Centrafrique. Le Pr Téa Gokou, président de l'université de Cocody, a été élu président du Conseil consultatif général (CCG). L'intérim qu'il assurait ces trois dernières années a été fort apprécié par ses pairs, qui ont décidé de lui confier un mandat plein de trois ans. Le Conseil consultatif est "le garant de la philosophie et des principes académiques du CAMES ainsi que des Comités scientifiques spécialisés".
